FORTY FOUR

Forty four

The light in the crane pic is amazing. -R
It really is a lucky shot. Walking through the park, I saw a small critter bathing in the creek, so I crossed the bridge to get its picture. When I came around the tall weeds, the critter was gone and the crane stood in its place. I watched the crane pull a baby critter out of the brush and swallow it. I moved a little closer and the crane froze for a moment before flying away. I took this with the zoom lens on the auto setting. The sun was shining directly on the bird, making him appear a bit washed-out, so I ran the image through Elements and just dialed down the total brightness a few points. Oh, and now when I look at it, I see an odd reflection, like a large face with almond-shaped eyes, in the water. Do you see it? -K

About This Blog

We started this blog as a commitment to ourselves and each other to do one thing creative each day. We both have a love of photography and are interested in improving our camera and picture editing skills. Our initial goal was to post one pic each every day for a year. We'll see where that takes us. Thanks for joining us in the process. Constructive comments are always welcome.
